Birthday gift ensemble

Look what my sister made for my birthday! She's so crafty, actually everyone in my family is so crafty!
First she made the tote bag, perfect size for a bath & body shower gel, then the little decorated canister with flowers on top which was filled with some flat backed pearls in different colors, and then this trifold card with a belly band!
I just love how everything matches and that she took so much time to create it for me! Thank you Deb!!

Still waiting...

Yes, that's right (sigh) I'm still here and waiting (impatiently) for this baby to come. We've got 3 days until my due date and really really hoping to go into labor soon. I had a visit with my doctor last week and found out that since I'm going for a VBAC, I cannot be induced. Something that I didn't know about and kind of bums me out. That means if I do not go into labor by my 41st week, I'll have another c-section that I will not look forward to. Although-I did hear that if you opt for a cs without laboring, the recovery is much easier, a little reassuring, I guess.

So here I am waiting and watching the minutes go by. I did get my new Stampin' UP! Catalog today in the mail which brightened my day :) It is so beautiful...I cannot wait for you all to see it if you haven't yet. I'll be taking that to the hospital to memorize every page, I will guarantee that!

I made this little journal notebook this afternoon. It uses our new Ginger Blossom DS papers. Aren't they gorgeous?!! I just love the color combo. For the letter 'j' I actually printed a mirror image of a 'j' on my computer onto the backside of my ds paper and card stock and cut it out with my paper snips.

Thanks for stopping by...Enjoy your Christmas. I'll keep you posted about baby!!

Crystal Lite Container

Here's a quick project I made a few weeks ago to show at a party. The hostess requested some cheap gifts for teachers, aides, and others. I thought that this would be fun to fill with homemade candies, or cookies (would have to be small) or any type of chocolate...Easy!

I used:
Stamps: Snow Flurries, Happy Everything
Paper: Wintergreen DP
Ink: always artichoke
Accessories: Always artichoke grosgrain, celery brad
Tools: Sm & Lg tag punches, Lg circle punch, Slit punch (for scallops)

Spa in a can

Alright, so I confess....This is technically my first paint can I've made. I have a few of them hiding away, waiting to be dressed up! Finally I got around to it! All I needed was a reason...My sister's birthday (and that was last week!!)

So I had something else in mind last week, and it was pretty dumb (I won't even go there) and then came across the Target $ spot. They had some really cool spa stuff there and I just picked out a bunch not knowing if I'll use it or not. And then the idea came to me..."I'll use a paint can and decorate it to match!!" I didn't say that out loud at Target, but I was really excited! (I know, I know, it doesn't take much!!)

Anyway I hope she likes it. Usually she likes everything I do so I would be surprised if she didn't.

I used a bunch of Crate Paper & tag stuff, ribbons from Michaels, and on the closeup picture I punched out some flowers from the Spring bouquet punch.

Thanks for stopping by!

Halloween Treat Bag

It's been such a crazy stamping week! What have I done to myself...I still have 19 more sketches & cards to do! Just kidding! I'm a few days ahead of my blog so I don't run out of them for you guys!

I thought I would give myself a break from the sketches & cards though. I have this $300 Cricut machine sitting here that hasn't been used more then the fingers on my hand, SOOO...I figured I should probably dust it off and do something with it.

I just checked and the special deal for demonstrators is still going on! Here's the link: http://www.provocraft.com/consultants/. If you are interested and decide you're going to buy, put my name in as reference: Sara Redman. Thanks!!

The Plantin Schoolbook Cartridge (included with the Expression) has more stuff than just the alphabet, as do many of the other cartridges. But what this one has is pretty cool...See my little bag?!! IT CUTS BAGS!! It actually cuts 4 different shapes. A circular bag, this bag, and a bag with round handles instead of square, and a bag that has a zig-zag top. How cool is that! It also cuts a tiny line to help you fold. Although I had to get out my bone folder and ruler with the SU cardstock. But is awesome anyway!!

I cut this bag to fit the length of my paper, 12 inches. I think it came to about 6 1/4" high, which is a cute and decent size for treats or whatnot. I also cut thin strips of Lovely Lilac & Green Galore then ran them through my criper for the filler.

Recipe:
Stamps: Family Accessories, Everyday Flexible Phrases
Paper: Pumpkin Pie, Lovely Lilac, WW
Ink: Basic Gray, Pumpkin pie-lovely lilac-& Green Galore Marker
Accessories: White Grosgrain Ribbon colored with a Lovely Lilac Marker, Green polka-dotted ribbon from Michaels.
Tools: Cricut Expression & Plantin Schoolbook cartridge, Scallop Circle Punch, 1 3/8" circle Punch, 1 1/4" circle Punch

Have a great evening everyone! I'll be back early to post another Sketch & Card!
