Card for Dad

Here's the Father's Day card that I made for my dad for Father's Day. I got my inspiration from the Stamper's Showcase from the other day (for those Non-demos: It's a gallery on the demo side of the Stampin' UP website where they feature a few cards sent in by demonstrators. They post about 4-5 new cards every day.)
Anyway, I have had this stamp set for a few months now and just decided to open it up and cut it out because it did not end up on the retiring list! So I guess I can keep it for a while and maybe use it?

Supplies:
Paper: Soft Sky, Close to Cocoa, River Rock, WW
Ink: Soft Sky, Close to Cocoa, River Rock
Tools: Sm & Lg star punch
Other: Dimensionals

geez...I just noticed I didn't use any embellishments! that may be a first for me!

{she}

Hello! Can you believe it's June? It sure doesn't feel like it here. We've had rain, rain and more rain on the way. It looks like another week of rain ahead of us. It's just been the craziest spring for weather.

Here's a simple & quick page I made this morning! I used the Rose Cottage SS kit, along with letters from my Plantin Schoolbook Cricut cartridge.

Have a great day & enjoy!!

What color should I paint my front door?
Red
Green
Another Color
pollcode.com free polls

Sorry this isn't a stamping post. I'm just very undecided about what color I should paint my door. So, I thought what better way to get everyone's opinion than to do a poll, right??!

I like the red, it is my accent color. But the green matches the trim on all of the windows. OR should I do a different color altogether?

Help me!

Yes, I'm still alive.

I'm just posting quick this afternoon. Sorry it's been a while. We've been busy around our little 4 1/2 acres. It's amazing the work that is involved when spring comes. After being cooped up all winter, we can finally go outside and do some work, then I'm beat by 7:00! We now have 130 chickens and that has kept us busy along with (my) plans for some landscaping around the house and garden shed. I put my in parentheses because my husband does not know about this yet :) LOL! He loves it when I get crazy ideas.
So after working outside most of the day (when we actually have a nice day) I have tons and tons of blogs to catch up on. I think I had 130 unread blog entries in my Reader one day. Geesh...that took about a day to go through that!
Anyhow...I needed to get some thank you's made this week and here's one of them. It's a pretty simple card.
Supplies:
Stamps: Lovely Labels, Polka dot background
Paper: Basic Gray, Very Vanilla, Charbon DP
Accessories: Basic Gray Taffeta ribbon
Tools: Scallop circle punch, 1 3/8", 1 1/4" circle, sm corner rounder.

That's it for today! You can go over to my family blog to see what we've been up to if you really need to know :)
