Still waiting...

Yes, that's right (sigh) I'm still here and waiting (impatiently) for this baby to come. We've got 3 days until my due date and really really hoping to go into labor soon. I had a visit with my doctor last week and found out that since I'm going for a VBAC, I cannot be induced. Something that I didn't know about and kind of bums me out. That means if I do not go into labor by my 41st week, I'll have another c-section that I will not look forward to. Although-I did hear that if you opt for a cs without laboring, the recovery is much easier, a little reassuring, I guess.

So here I am waiting and watching the minutes go by. I did get my new Stampin' UP! Catalog today in the mail which brightened my day :) It is so beautiful...I cannot wait for you all to see it if you haven't yet. I'll be taking that to the hospital to memorize every page, I will guarantee that!

I made this little journal notebook this afternoon. It uses our new Ginger Blossom DS papers. Aren't they gorgeous?!! I just love the color combo. For the letter 'j' I actually printed a mirror image of a 'j' on my computer onto the backside of my ds paper and card stock and cut it out with my paper snips.

Thanks for stopping by...Enjoy your Christmas. I'll keep you posted about baby!!

Crystal Lite Container

Here's a quick project I made a few weeks ago to show at a party. The hostess requested some cheap gifts for teachers, aides, and others. I thought that this would be fun to fill with homemade candies, or cookies (would have to be small) or any type of chocolate...Easy!

I used:
Stamps: Snow Flurries, Happy Everything
Paper: Wintergreen DP
Ink: always artichoke
Accessories: Always artichoke grosgrain, celery brad
Tools: Sm & Lg tag punches, Lg circle punch, Slit punch (for scallops)

File Folder Album

Ever since Taylor made one of these and also posted the instructions here, I've been dying to make one! I have no idea what I'm going to do with it, but isn't it pretty?

I used a bunch of Daisy D's papers and die cuts (I've had for a LONG time) and also some wide floral ribbon from some flowers I got last week. Other than that I used some SU stuff. You know.....sometimes it's really fun to work with the stuff in the back of my stash!

Recipe:
Paper: Daisy D's, File folder, Close to Cocoa, Ruby Red, VV
Ink: Close to Cocoa: LOTS of sponging
Accessories: lots of ribbon, rhinestone brads

Upcoming Class

I love altering things, especially when Stampin' UP! makes such awesome stuff to work with! Our new designer papers make altering picture frames a snap. They're double-sided, so you have twice as much to choose from.

I found some un-finished wooden frames, but you could really use any flat style frame for this. I picked out some of my favorite papers and paired them up with coordinating papers from the same package. Then applied them to the frame. Then I added ribbons and some stamped embellishments.

The first one is for my daughter's room, she loves this picture of her cousin, Lauren and her riding "Charlie". The next is of our niece Allie, will probably go somewhere in our living room/dining room.

Call or email me to sign up for this class! It is September 28th @ 7pm. Hope you can make it!
