9 month page: using Summer Home Kit

I hope you had a wonderful Christmas. We sure did and my pants are screaming for me to stop eating! LOL!
Yesterday was my daughter's 1st birthday and I forced myself to get her scrapbook up to date. This is her 9 month page using the Summer Home Simply Scrappin Kit. The colors are so beautiful and the elements are awesome. For the title I used some thickers. And the ribbon is the 1" Blue Bayou stitched grosgrain.

Thanks for stopping by! I'll post again later this week!

Snow Burst

Hi! I am so sorry it's been so long since my last post. I'm pushing a month now. But I'm hoping to do this more often when Christmas break comes! Thanks for coming back and reading this! Wait, is there anyone that still reads this? LOL
I cannot remember the last time I have made a card. I bet it's been nearly 2 months! This one uses the Snow Burst & Heard from the Heart sets.

Well, I'll keep it short. It's a school day and I don't like to keep myself occupied with things.
Have a great week and thanks for stopping by!

a little behind

yeah, this picture is from a year ago (sept) and I finally got around to scrapping it. In fact, I've been in a scrappy mood and I'm now only 6 months behind! And I just bought a scrapbook yesterday and stuffed all of my finished layouts in there, added refill pages, and still filled it up with more layouts waiting to be put in another album.
I love this layout. I love it so much I think I've used it 3 times this last week. I do so many 1-picture layouts and this is the perfect page for that.
Have a great weekend!

Fall Layout

I'm always looking for inspiration for scrapbook layouts. I literally have hundreds of pages printed off of layouts and sketches. (now if I only had the time to use them all ;) ) This particular page got it's inspiration from Andrea Walford's card. I knew immediately it would make a great page for my scrapbook.
Here I've used our Autumn Vine 12x12 patterned paper along with Chocolate chip cardstock. I used Big Deal Alphabet for the title and for the lg orange shape I used Accent Elements Cricut cartridge.
These pictures are from a year ago, so you can imagine how far behind I am. I hope to get more scrap booking done this fall & winter so I can catch up!

Have a great day!

Ink: Ruby Red Inkpad, Kiwi Kiss, Tangerine Tango, Ruby Red, Close to cocoa (reinkers)
Paper: Tangerine Tango, Old Olive, Very Vanilla, Ruby Red
Accessories: Old olive ribbon
Tools: Wide Oval Punch, Coluzzle, Baby wipes

Inspired by Nature

Here's a super simple card, not a lot going on, but still cute I think. For the flowers I used Poppin Pastels <---you can click here to see the tutorial. Makes for a nice almost watercolored effect for these flowers. The card stock is Chipboard ran through the Big Shot with the Top Note Die. Other card stock is: Kiwi Kiss, Chocolate Chip, and Pink Pirouette. Also used Kiwi satin ribbon. Thanks for stopping by!

Birthday gift ensemble

Look what my sister made for my birthday! She's so crafty, actually everyone in my family is so crafty!
First she made the tote bag, perfect size for a bath & body shower gel, then the little decorated canister with flowers on top which was filled with some flat backed pearls in different colors, and then this trifold card with a belly band!
I just love how everything matches and that she took so much time to create it for me! Thank you Deb!!

Way to go!

This was a really fun card to make. it measures 3 1/2 x 3 1/2. The total measurement is 10 1/2 x 3 1/2, scored at 3 1/2 & 7". Then I cut out a circle in the center square and folded the right flap in. (on the inside of that flap I attached the patterned paper). Let me know if you need visuals to help you understand!!
Anyway, I used Starring You stamp set, blue bayou, riding hood red, & chocolate chip cardstock and patterned paper from the UR Sweet SS kit. New buttons & star brads were added for embellishments. I used versamark & clear embossed the sentiment.

Thanks for stopping by! Have a happy day!

swap card

This is a card I made for a swap with a few of my demonstrator friends. It uses the Gerogia Peach papers, Cute & Curly label punch & stamps, scallop edge punch, new button, and felt flower. I used Versamark & white embossing powder to stamp the image & emboss. I also used dimensionals to raise each of the labels.

That's it for today...I'm off to class! Have a good weekend everyone!

Using new stuff!

Here's a page I made using the Washington Apple papers. I've also used: Loads of Letters chipboard, new buttons & brads & scallop edge punch.

I'm off to school soon...my 2nd day! To add to the stress around here, my oldest started throwing up this morning and we obviously could not take her to daycare, so my wonderful husband is coming home to take care of the girls so I can go to class. I'm so grateful he is supporting me 100%!! I'm so lucky!

Have a great day everyone!

Another SB page?

That's right people! I really didn't make this today, it was a few days ago, but I'll keep posting these until I run out of stuff! This one was made with the Summer Days Kit from the Spring SU catalog. Instead of the Wild Wasabi green, I substituted Kiwi Kiss because I thought it matched the picture best. I also used that slick new Scallop edge punch. I love that thing! It makes the job so fast! Also are thickers & satin ribbon tied around the picture. Pretty simple.

Thanks for the super sweet comments yesterday on my page & encouraging words. I really appreciate it! I can't believe you guys still read this blog!

a scrapbook page!

Oh my, I'm so sorry it's been so long since I've posted a project! this summer has just slipped away from me! I'm sure you all know what I'm talking about! I feel like I'm under pressure these days to get things done: with Cassie's 4th birthday coming soon and TODAY is my first day of school! Yes, me. I'm going back to school for the first time in 8 years! I'm excited, nervous, anxious, etc... I just hope I will do well. Oh, you might be wondering what I'll be going for? I've decided that Graphic Design will be my focus. So we'll see where it takes me.
Today I wanted to show you a page I made a couple days ago while scrapping with some friends. We spent the day talking up a storm (well, I didn't talk too much, I needed to work!) and eating yummy food! I made 12 layouts and here is one of them for Lydia's album:

I've used the new flower fusion felt flowers here with some thickers for the title. Super easy! Enjoy!

Card for Dad

Here's the Father's Day card that I made for my dad for Father's Day. I got my inspiration from the Stamper's Showcase from the other day (for those Non-demos: It's a gallery on the demo side of the Stampin' UP website where they feature a few cards sent in by demonstrators. They post about 4-5 new cards every day.)
Anyway, I have had this stamp set for a few months now and just decided to open it up and cut it out because it did not end up on the retiring list! So I guess I can keep it for a while and maybe use it?

Supplies:
Paper: Soft Sky, Close to Cocoa, River Rock, WW
Ink: Soft Sky, Close to Cocoa, River Rock
Tools: Sm & Lg star punch
Other: Dimensionals

geez...I just noticed I didn't use any embellishments! that may be a first for me!

{she}

Hello! Can you believe it's June? It sure doesn't feel like it here. We've had rain, rain and more rain on the way. It looks like another week of rain ahead of us. It's just been the craziest spring for weather.

Here's a simple & quick page I made this morning! I used the Rose Cottage SS kit, along with letters from my Plantin Schoolbook Cricut cartridge.

June Desktop

Here's what's on my desktop this month. I've added pictures of my girls in the circles. It's a .png file so make sure you have a program that can open those files. You can click on the image above to take you to the website to download it! Isn't it fun?!

What color should I paint my front door?
Red
Green
Another Color
pollcode.com free polls

Sorry this isn't a stamping post. I'm just very undecided about what color I should paint my door. So, I thought what better way to get everyone's opinion than to do a poll, right??!

I like the red, it is my accent color. But the green matches the trim on all of the windows. OR should I do a different color altogether?

Help me!
