Trying out digi-scrapping

Alright, everyone...here's my first digi-scrap page. I really like it and it took me much longer than it should have, but please tell me if it looks "right". I don't know the first thing about digital scrap booking and I don't know if I have done it right. I bought some really cool brushes, read lots and lots about my puny little PSE3, which, surprisingly, can do lots of things.
I haven't bought any special kits yet, but they look fun. BUT like I say, I don't have a clue where to start with them.
This page was only created with simple layers and brushes.

So as I was working on this yesterday, my husband walked in and for some reason I blurted out, "hey, what do you think of me selling all of my scrapbooking supplies and then go all digital!" I think he got pretty excited because he started telling me that we could finally get the MAC he's secretly been wishing for and he could set me up with 2 monitors and full-blown version of Photoshop, etc, etc, etc... Then reality hit: I've got way too much invested in my paper collection to do that!! Don't worry everyone, it's not going to happen anytime soon!

BUT, you might see a digital scrapbook page here and there from now on...it's kinda fun! And if any of you know the ins + outs of digital scrapbooking, please share, I'd love to learn more!!

Oh its beautiful. She is a adorable too. But my question is what does it look like when you print it off? The picture that you posted is that a hard copy or digital? I have always wondered what the hard copies would look like. Also do you need a special printer to print them? I do really like it good job Cynthia

I think its pretty & simple (simple in a good way!). The picture is beautiful and your layout totally makes it the focal point, exactly as it should be! I love your 'paper' style so I'm glad you won't be giving that up. As much as I like digital, I don't think I'll ever give up paper either. Its too much fun to get my hands on all of that good stuff!

Love it!! The page is perfectly balanced and the swirls- adorable. Not to mention the sweet little baby taking center stage!!!

Good luck on the digi-scrappin- it's addicting! And collecting page kits and embellishments online is even better than ordering paper scrapbook stuff online since it's INSTANT GRATIFICATION!

Your page turned out beautifully Sara! I am not one for digital, love the feel of the paper, my embellishments and such, but this really is gorgeous! *STAMPIN HUGS* Alex

Well done, Sara! ... and gorgeous photo of your daughter! You are quite the photographer!

I too have struggled with the idea of going digital .... problem is I have too much STUFF! I'm also afraid of losing the 3-D aspect.
