27 Sketches in 27 Days-#4
Here's my 4th Sketch & card!
This has got to be the most simple card I've ever made! Not much of a challenge here, although I had a hard time figuring out what I should put in the bottom corner. I don't own a "happy halloween" stamp, so I had to come up with something. Hopefully it looks okay.
Remember you have until MIDNIGHT tonight to sign yourself up for BLOG CANDY!!
RECIPE:
Stamps: Carved & Candlelit, LIttle Pieces
Ink: Pumpkin Pie, Basic Black, Old Olive
Paper: Pumpkin Pie, Basic Black, WW

27 Sketches in 27 Days-#3
It's the 3rd sketch & card of my 27 Sketches! Only 24 more to go :)
If you haven't already noticed from a lot of my cards-I've got a bit of SCD (Scallop Compulsive Disorder) he he!! I really have to challenge myself to leave scallops off of anything I do! See here-I even added it to my sketch card! Maybe someday I'll be burnt out from scallops.....NOT!
I was a bit shocked from the color combination I chose for this card. Orchid Opulance, Blue Bayou, and Certainly Celery.....Weird, huh? I actually like how it turned out though. I picked up the Orchid Opulance (seriously folks...it's been years since I've touched that color) and forced myself to come up with a color combination that I liked. It seemed to look fine while I was starting to work on it, then when I colored the trees and snowman, it all just came together. I love it when that happens!
Feel free to link your card!
Recipe:
Stamps: Short & Sweet, Merry & Bright
Paper: Orchid Opulence, Blue Bayou, Certainly Celery, WW
Ink: Orchid Opulence, Blue Bayou, Certainly Celery, White Gel Pen
Accessories: White Taffeta Ribbon
Tools: Aquapainter, Slit punch, Photo Corner Punch
Technique: Masking
I think I've added all of your blogs and favorite blogs from the blog candy give away-and still currently doing so. If I missed someone, please let me know, and I'll get it added right away!

27 Sketches in 27 Days-#2
Here's my sketch & card entry #2 for 27 Sketches in 27 Days! I hope you like it. I've made some pretty easy sketches for all levels of stampers, so come join the fun!
I love the Pick a Petal set. It gives so many different flower options and great for just about any type of card. I loved the "groovy skies" color challenge so much, but this time I thought I would add another color: Always Artichoke. I think I like it! Maybe I'll call this combo Always Groovy Skies?!!
Get stamping! Then go ahead and link your card :)
Remember to check out my BLOG CANDY and enter yourself in the drawing!!!
Recipe:
Stamps: Pick A Petal, Defining Alphabet
Paper: Sky Blue, Groovy Guava, Always Artichoke, WW
Ink: Sky Blue, Groovy Guava, Always Artichoke
Accessories: Blue Rhinestone Brads
Tools: Aquapainter, 1 1/4" & 1 3/8" circle punch, 1/16" punch

27 Sketches in 27 Days-#1
I should have started this a few days ago, but time got away from me...You know how that goes! On the 27th of this month I'm turning 27, and I wanted to do something here on my blog. So I brainstormed, and came up with the idea of 27 sketches.
I'll be posting 1 sketch every day for 27 days and post a card along with the sketch. I'll challenge you to link your sketch so we can all see your design! Doesn't that sound fun??!!
Today is the 1st sketch. I got the layout idea from the snowman I made 2 weeks ago.
I think this sketch works really well with Stampin' UP! stamps. Since they're sold in sets, you can use coordinating sets for the focal point and others for the bg image.
Alright...get stamping! Come back and link your card so we can all see it!!
Sketch #1 recipe:
Stamps: Just like you
Paper: Purely pomegranate, Mellow Moss, Apricot Appeal, WW
Ink: Purely pomegranate, Mellow Moss, Apricot Appeal, Bordering Blue
Accessories: Brocade blue 5/8" grosgrain
Tools: 1 1/16" punch, scallop circle punch, 1 3/8" circle punch

Upcoming Class
I love altering things, especially when Stampin' UP! makes such awesome stuff to work with! Our new designer papers make altering picture frames a snap. They're double-sided, so you have twice as much to choose from.
I found some un-finished wooden frames, but you could really use any flat style frame for this. I picked out some of my favorite papers and paired them up with coordinating papers from the same package. Then applied them to the frame. Then I added ribbons and some stamped embellishments.
The first one is for my daughter's room, she loves this picture of her cousin, Lauren and her riding "Charlie". The next is of our niece Allie, will probably go somewhere in our living room/dining room.
Call or email me to sign up for this class! It is September 28th @ 7pm. Hope you can make it!

I'm Back
Sorry it's been a while since I've posted. I had a card class last week I was getting ready for and didn't have much spare time for anything else.
I just checked the #'s and it looks like I'm nearing the 10,000 mark! Look for blog candy soon.
I'll be back tomorrow with a couple cards. Thanks for being patient with me :)
