27 Sketches in 27 Days-#14

Sketch #14 & Card

I'm starting to fall behind...Oh dear! I was ahead of myself last week, and finally life got busy with the weekend and everything, I haven't had a chance to get cards made for this week!

It was a very sad morning here at our house. Our dog gave birth to 4 stillborn puppies very early. We don't really know what caused it, this was her first litter and we were so excited and actually had a few of the puppies spoken for. It would have been quite appropriate to have the puppies for my daughter-to see how babies are born and that whole miracle-before we have our own baby, but unfortunately we can't and decided not to tell her about it. Anyway, Daisy (our dog) is doing much better. Some people say animals don't have feelings, but I have to disagree. I saw disappointment and sadness and mourning in her eyes this morning. It was really sad to see her that way, and I got teary-eyed from it.

Anyway-back to my card: I just bought this set a couple weeks ago, and LOVE IT. Don't know what exactly I'll do with it but I really like the Outlaw papers that coordinate. Makes great masculine cards anyway!

I started making the card and decided it needed to be a square card just by the size of my images. If you're wondering what the heck I did to the "wanted": I stamped it in Sage shadow first, then lightly in Chocolate chip. That's how I got that rustic weathered feel.

Thanks for stopping by, Remember to link up your card creation here!

Recipe:
Stamps: Wanted
Paper: Outlaw DP, VV, Chocolate Chip, Sage Shadow
Ink: Chocolate Chip, Sage Shadow
Accessories: Chocolate taffeta ribbon, natural Hemp

Sorry to hear about the puppies. So sad for you all!

This sketch is great and I sure hope I have some time before my BPA meeting tonight to sqeeze this in. If not I will tomorrow! I'm playing catch up too!

Love your card! I have had this set since the beginning of July but haven't done a whole lot with it. I really like how you stamped the horse and the Wanted!!

How sad - yes they do have feelings and seem to really understand your moods. Our Goldie is 14 in November and she really seems to know how you feel. Love today's card - men's cards are always difficult.

I know animals have feelings..
I have had the same 2 horses since I was 13.. I will be 40 in a few weeks..
My gelding died 2 Christmases ago.. my mare hung her head down low... it was so sad... she was so lonely for company.. they knew each other since they were 3 and 6... you do the math.. buds for a LONG time...
I miss him and know she does too.
When I would take her out for a ride away from him he could get the entire neighborhood to call her back to him!!! I would just link the reins on the horn and enjoy the run home...

I hope things get better for you and you can find a way to tell your dd..

Poor Daisy, Poor you, Poor puppies...so sorry to hear the sad news.
Animals do have feelings for sure. I have 2 dogs, 2 budgies and 2 dwarf rabbits and they all have feelings and emotions and their very on personalities.
Hope Daisy is feeling a little more cheerful today.
take care...I really do like your card too. The image is wonderful.

So sad about the puppies. It just imprints on our minds how LIFE is such a MIRACLE.
Please give Daisy some extra treats and pats....Who says Dogs don't have feelings.... If your ever upset about something just go set on the back step and you'll find out how senitive they are!!
